ProjectSEARCH Canterbury is responding directly to the goals and aspirations of young people with intellectual and learning disabilities for paid employment. The programme directly encourages a collaborative, partnership approach to the transition from school through industry-based vocational training that leads to employment. The presentation will cover: Why was ProjectSEARCH Canterbury developed and its goals; research around setting up and implementation; roles, learning and broader impact on relationships); and interns’ experience of ProjectSEARCH Canterbury.
This session was recorded at Involve 2020 during the COVID-19 global pandemic.
